
Chetak 12 is a printmaking collective formed by Malaysian artists Bayu Utomo Radjikin, Samsudin Wahab and Faizal Suhif.
It is said the collective aims to share their passion for printmaking and to explore the potentials of the medium for their artistic practice.
The collective had their debut exhibition at HOM Art Trans, Selangor earlier this year in March.
For the show at A.P Art Gallery, the group has created ten artist books which consists of prints inspired by the artworks in Eulogy. They are for sale.
The opening reception is on Nov 11 at 4pm.
Prior to the opening at 3.30pm, the artists will have a sharing session titled, Sembang Santai, the session is said to touch on a range of ideas and issues relating to printmaking as well as its function as an important medium in art production.
The session will also address concerns relating to the lack of interest among current artists in printmaking and the general lack of support for the medium. It will be conducted in both Malay and English.
