The Re:Generation show by Next-Gen artists will be held at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore in conjunction with the 90th anniversary of the historic building.

Curated by THEO Arts Professionals, the exhibition will be from Jan 10-Feb 27.

The exhibition includes award-winning, young artists Jodi Tan, Justin Lim and Yeo Jian Long, who employ the medium of chalk, charcoal, ink, graphite, oil or even embroidery for their respective work.

Their artworks are said to be in contrast to the type of new media and installation works favoured by their peers. The objective of Re:Generation is to allow such creativity to succeed in their artistic paths.

The exhibition theme poses the question of sustainability in visual art expression and communication to audiences.

The three artists explore contemporary notions of beauty and temporality, existence and parallel existence and the impact of social media.

The exhibition is part of The Art Week Conversations & tour programme commissioned by the National Arts Council for Singapore Art Week 2018.

The public can meet the  participating artists on Jan 13 and Jan 20 as well as on Feb 10 and Feb 24. They will share their journeys with regard to their artworks in the exhibition.
