Gajah Gallery Yogjakarta will engage its Singaporean and Indonesian artists in a group exhibition featuring visual art and performance art focusing on nature.

The exhibition and performance art event features 22 contemporary artists. They are Aliansyah Caniago, Riyadhus Shalihin, FJ Kunting, Mimi Fadmi, Ridwan Rau Rau, Arsita Iswardhani, Adeline Kueh, Chong Weixin, Ian Woo, Jason Lim, Kumari Nahappan, Lavender Chang, Maxine Chionh, Melissa Tan, Ng Joon Kiat, Robert Zhao, Ruben Pang, Sarah Choo Jing, Suzann Victor, Warren Khong, Jason Lim and Zen Teh.

The participating artists are from a broad spectrum of disciplines, exploring the ways in which their works mediate with perceptions of nature, reality and systems of belief in the region and beyond. The show presents artistic strategies that subvert nature or the natural order of things as a critical reflection of contemporary society; at times, revealing anomalies and contradictions that may well in fact, be natural in everyday life.
