Apresiasi is a group exhibition featuring the works of Aely Manaf and Nor Tijan Firdaus.

The works are said to showcase the "artists’ appreciation towards their chosen medium".

Aely’s series of oil canvas works entitled, Pasak, are said to be his explorations on various techniques in creating abstract forms.

The medium was chosen by Aely due to his familiarity and experience in working in a factory that produced "compound".

Aely has been involved in oil painting in the past 20 years due to the nature of his factory job at Pencetak DIC (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd.

Nor Tijan uses discarded electrical parts to create works that attempt to resemble the creations of famous artists such as Claude Monet, Frida Kahlo and Steve Magada.

Her use of “e-waste” is said to be an attempt at "interrogating consumerism".

The 13 works on display range in size from 92cm by 76cm to 183cm by 159cm and are priced from RM3,800 - RM13,000.

The opening reception is on April 19 at 8.30pm.
